Living in Beijing since 1993, Zhao Liang has been working as an independent documentary filmmaker as well as a multimedia artist in photography and video art. Zhao Liang is born in 1971 in China. In 1992 he graduated at Luxun Academy of Fine Arts, 1993/94 studied at Beijing Film Academy. Currently lives and works in Beijing. His film Petition got awarded at 6th ZagrebDox with Big Stamp for the Best Documentary from the International Competition and Movies that Matters award.
